If elected as your Membership, Recruitment, and Retention Member-at-Large, I would focus on the following:

-Increasing members' utility of and connectedness to APAGS, with a focus on active membership

 

-Advocating for Equal Opportunity for students of minority status and first-generation college students (e.g., scholarships/ conference funding, leadership, career)

 

-Increasing emphasis on students' role in improving the internship crisis

 

-Advocating for finanical education resources to enhance financial literacy and planning, especially for the socioeconomically disadvantaged student

 

-Enhancing APAGS' role as a resource to help students navigate challenging situations in mentoring relationships, clinical work, research projects, etc.

 

-Decreasing the gap between psychology students of different divisions, training foci, and training program affiliations 

 

-Conducting survey research that allows students to give feedback about APAGS and APA's current function as a resource and relevant student needs for the organization to address
