Career Goals

In the future, I hope to become a licensed psychologist and practice in a Veterans Affairs Medical Center. I have a strong interest in working with the older adult population, particularly older adult veterans. My training background has emphasized neuropsychological assessment, differential diagnosis  (especially with regard to neurocognitive disorders), and health behavior interventions within this population. Ultimately, I would love to become a board-certified geropsychologist. I would also like to remain active in producing gero-relevant research after becoming a full-time clinician.

Professional Identity

My personal professional identity emphasizes a commitment to...

  • Social justice and equality

  • Integrity and fidelity to personal values and the profession

  • Gender equality and the dispelling of misogyny

  • Awareness and respect for cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity

  • Serve persons across the developmental lifespan, with particular emphasis on late-life issues
